Kendall, with its population of around 76,000 people, sits in the County of Miami-Dade, Florida. Just like many other similar towns in South Florida, Kendall fits the profile of a suburban and commercial lifestyle. It has it all: From luxury homes to lower-class residential areas. From “mom and pop” businesses, to multinational businesses. It is in towns like this that you will find any level of comfort that one might be looking for. It is also a central hub for those who enjoy the Miami suburban life, a Beach life, or a Country-style life. You have farms on the west or Kendall, beaches to the east, Miami to the North and all you need is an open mind and some leisure time.
Kendall has quite a history, being once inhabited by Seminole tribes. After the land boom of the 1920s, many people moved out of Kendall, surprisingly. Many moved a little north, to newer developments especially in the north of Miami-Dade County.
Kendall didn’t start really growing well into the 20th century. The Seminoles stayed in that region until the 1940s. So many people who move to Kendall, end up spending their entire lives there. As mentioned above, this is a city that “has it all”. For most people working in Miami, Kendall simply “fits”. This is a city that was severely destroyed by the 1992 hurricane Andrew. During that disaster, many residential and commercial subdivisions were completely destroyed, and Kendall took many years to get back to its feet. Most of these homes and businesses were rather “simple”, not owned by millionaires by any means, and so the financial burden on those people were quite 
extreme.
Kendall did make a comeback, and now you can drive around Kendall and find a big variety of restaurants, bars, stores, and even a Zoo. Yes, a Zoo. It is Zoo Miami, formally called, Miami Metro Zoo,which can be considered an international attraction for its 300 acres of subtropical jungles, trails and forest. Take note of the facility’s world class aviary and White Bengal Tigers. All in all you can find over 700 different animals and attractions at Zoo Miami.
The Falls outdoor shopping center is one South Florida's greatest shopping destinations. Conveniently situated just off of US-1, it contains many outdoor cafe's, national chains, and a movie theater. The Falls is a great place to visit in the wintertime when it's not the rainy season and the temperature isn't so hot. 
When you live in South Florida, or plan on moving to South Florida, Kendall is definitely a place where you can find a great priced home. A bargain, if you will. Especially if you plan on working somewhere south of Miami, or even in Miami, which is only about 10 miles away. Something to consider is the traffic. Must keep this in mind. Driving to and from Kendall, one must take into consideration the rush hour periods of both morning and afternoon.
Kendall is yet another vastly Spanish-speaking community of South Florida. One can take so much advantage of this fact. It is part of the town’s culture. It is part of the lifestyle. Thanks to this fact, there’s so much commercial properties that belong to multi-national restaurants and bars, for example. The variety of services is fantastic.
The city of Kendall is served by the Miami Metrorail. There are 2 stations at both Dadeland north and south. Through public transportation, you can easily be connecting to downtown Miami and even the Miami International Airport. Or you can head south as far as Homestead and Florida City. Yes, we are talking about buses, and not only metrorail.
Kendall also has an Executive Airport, called the Kendall-Tamiami Executive Airport, and it is one of Miami’s general aviation airports.
